About Clara

I’m a humanistic counsellor. I’m here to listen, to see you and to support you.

A little about me

I have worked therapeutically for 11 years, across many approaches, and in the healing arts for 20 years. I bring a depth of experience from working with people from all walks of life.

My practice is grounded in deep empathy, respect and a commitment to walking with you at your own pace. Every aspect of your experience is welcomed and honoured.

For me, therapy is the process of engaging in the field of presence with one another. The therapeutic relationship is the perfect companion for travelling the territories of the inner life.

The approach I take is not one-size-fits-all. We may bring in a range of techniques, from mindfulness to cognitive-behavioural strategies, and relaxation techniques to soothe your nervous system. We are all individuals, and in therapy we work together and connect with what you bring.

In the humanistic tradition, the starting point is that we are all essentially good.

How I work

Humanistic counselling

Humanistic counselling starts from the idea that you are the expert on your own life. I listen without judgement, and we work at a pace that suits you.

Family constellations

I also offer family constellations, a separate service from counselling. It looks at the family you come from and the patterns within it.

Lemons on a branch against a sunlit stone wall

Why lemons?

The lemon has travelled with us since ancient times. It runs through folklore, mythology and spiritual traditions, and it is still part of everyday life today.

It speaks of the bittersweet nature of life. It stands for transformation, healing and purification, for abundance and growth. To me, it is a poetic and powerful picture of the healing process.
